European and Moroccan school holidays, Ramadan and major events also shift demand. For July and August, book several weeks ahead; from November to March, Agadir stays mild and noticeably more affordable, which makes it a popular destination for long winter stays.
Which neighbourhood should you book in?
The neighbourhood shapes your stay as much as the price. Here are the main landmarks; our guide to Agadir’s neighbourhoods covers them in detail.
- Founty and Agadir Bay: recent residences, often with a pool, a few minutes from the beach and the promenade. The best compromise for a family.
- The Marina: harbour views, restaurants at the foot of the building, prices among the highest in the city.
- Talborjt and the centre: neighbourhood life, shops, market, gentler prices, beach on foot or by taxi.
- Hay Mohammadi: residential area, spacious and affordable homes, ideal if you have a car.
- Anza, Taghazout and Tamraght: to the north, for surfing and the ocean. Taghazout is the most expensive area in our sample.
What to check before you book

- Parking: essential in Hay Mohammadi or Taghazout Bay if you rent a car.

- Air conditioning and heating: winter evenings can be cool.
- Recent reviews: cleanliness, accuracy of the photos and how responsive the host is.
