Key points
- Winter (November to March) is the best time to negotiate a month-long stay: it is the cheapest season for short-term rentals (453 MAD per night in January).
- On a long-term basis, a furnished one-bedroom (T2) lets for around 5,500 MAD in Talborjt and 7,000 to 9,000 MAD in Founty according to agency guides.
- Beyond a few weeks, ask for a monthly rate and a written contract.
- Check the heating, wifi and insulation: winter nights are cool.
Agadir is one of the favourite winter destinations of European retirees and, increasingly, of remote workers. Between nightly lets and year-long leases, a furnished monthly rental in Agadir suits these stays of one to six months.
Who is it for?
- Winter visitors: retirees who spend November to March in the sun.
- Remote workers and digital nomads, numerous in Tamraght and Taghazout.
- People relocating for work who are looking for a permanent home.
- Families in transition during renovation works or a purchase.
What budget for a monthly rental in Agadir?
Two benchmarks help you place a price:
- Short-term side: the average nightly rate drops to 453 MAD in January and 464 MAD in February in our 2026 register, against 852 MAD in August. A long winter stay can therefore be negotiated well below 30 nights at the advertised price.
- Long-term side: agency guides put a furnished one-bedroom (T2) at around 5,500 MAD per month in Talborjt and between 7,000 and 9,000 MAD in Founty. See our Agadir rent benchmarks.
The final price depends on the neighbourhood, the size, the view and the services included: cleaning, linen, electricity, internet.
How to negotiate well
- Ask for a monthly rate from the very first exchange.
- Clarify what is included: water, electricity, internet, cleaning, linen.
- Book early for December and January, which are in high demand.
- Offer a long stay outside July and August: it is a strong argument for the host.
What to check
- Heating: reversible air conditioning or radiators, as winter nights drop below 10°C.
- Wifi: ask for a speed test, essential for remote work.
- A proper kitchen and a workspace.
- A washing machine for a long stay.
- The contract: dates, price, charges, deposit and cancellation terms in writing. For a stay of several months outside tourist use, Law 67-12 may apply.

Owners: letting by the month in winter
Alternating holiday lets in summer with monthly furnished lets in winter limits vacancy in the low season and cuts turnovers and cleaning. To compare scenarios, use the yield calculator, then hand the management over to a property management company in Agadir if you live far away.
